Ishikawa Mino Washi Paper Goods Workshop
You can experience the handiwork of Ishikawa Shigyo, a traditional Japanese paper manufacturer founded in 1902. You can make more than 20 different kinds of practical and cute goods such as washi self-righting doll, washi bookmarker, washi paper dish, all made of Mino washi. Since the workshops are about 30-60 minutes, anyone can try them out easily. (A reservation is not required for less than 10 participants).
In addition, more than 600 different kinds of handmade Japanese goods are displayed and sold in the store, and you can find a wonderful souvenir.

You can see the award-winning works of Mino Washi Akari Art Exhibition, a fall nighttime tradition in Mino. Washi increases the warmth of light, and you can enjoy a fantastic another world. Mino-Washi Museum
Mino-Washi Museum is "Washi Theme Park" where you can learn and experience the appeal of Mino-Washi. You can learn about the history of Mino-Washi and the manufacturing process. In addition, there is an exhibition room that proposes how Japanese paper is used in daily life, and you can enjoy the tasteful space.
You can experience the traditional papermaking using the same tools as the craftsman use, with the raw material of 100% mulberry bark. Prices of workshops start at 500 yen. You can make various products such as Mino-Washi with patterns, lamps, and postcards. Moreover, you can make your own graduation certificate.
As a countermeasure against COVID-19, it is now on a reservation basis.

Toyota City Washi no Furusato
Washi no Furusato is an interactive museum established for the purpose of spreading and developing Japanese paper in Obara, Toyota. There are four facilities: the Japanese paper Craft Experience Hall for a papermaking workshop, the Obara Washi Museum, which introduces the works of art and craft of Toyota Obara Washi and an artist Tatsukichi Fujii, and washi materials from all over Japan, the Japanese paper and Lacquer Works Studio (under construction) for workshops and artists who want to work on washi, and the Washi Garden, where you can see plants for washi. You can enjoy the nature of Obara at a walkway". You can experience nail art made of washi at Nail Salon Airish. Nail stylist Airi Yamada has developed a world-first technique called "traditional nail art" and has been working to promote the beauty of Japan by cooperating with traditional Japanese craftsmen. She offers nail art that embodies "your own style" with the creative philosophy of creating art that is considerate of your feeling.
You can enjoy nail art using traditional nail art materials such as lacquer, mother-of-pearl work, washi, and cloisonne, etc. In addition to traditional nail art, they also offer unique nail art with unique designs.

Sanshu Asuke Yashiki
Sanshu Asuke Yashiki is said to be a living folk museum, as it recreates the life of a mid-mountain farm family displaying contemporary articles of everyday use. Craftsmen demonstrate traditional handwork in real buildings such as the thatched-roof house and storehouse. In the paper-making demonstration, they also make Mikawa Morishita Washi and washi which is used to make "Tan Kororin" and paper umbrellas.
You can join workshops such as weaving, indigo dyeing, and bamboo basket making.

Ise Washi Museum
You can see paper-making tools and products from Taiho Washi Industries, the only washi manufacturer in Mie that makes paper for the Ise Jingu. You can learn about the history of the company and the process of making paper. In the reference room, you can read materials and books about Ise Washi.
You can also experience "Ise Washi Printing" using the equipment provided.
