Hello! This is Erina, Ayaka, Haruna, and Akane. This week, we would like to introduce "Nagakute City Hall area". This area features rich natures and many shrines and temples. If you felt like "Ghibli-ish" somewhere in these places, please tell us in the comment box below:)
【Hanamizuki Do-ri】
We started working from Hanamizuki Do-ri station.
【Tachiishi pond】
Tachiishi pond is near the Aichi medical university. We can walk around the pond. When we visited there, there were two people fishing. Also, there is a little house that you might able to enjoy the picnic on the pond.
【Ishizukuri shrine】
There is a forest where you could enjoy the part of studio Ghibli. The shrine was splendid. We got Goshuin. Also, we saw the tree that has face of Okame but it was rainy season we couldn't see the face with makeup.
【Ichirokuya】
The shop is closed on Sunday, but we could meet a owner! The shop is not only selling uniforms, also teaching how to dress up Yukata or Kimono. The owner told us, there is a Japanese garden inside so it would be nice to have cup of tea ''Matcha'' there. She wants to spreading Japanese culture. We have also same idea. We hope we can do something together.
【Kubizuka Burial Ground, Anshoji Temple】
Kubizuka is the burial ground of people who died in the Battle of Nagakute. The place is surrounded by private houses, so it's a bit difficult to find. But the monument is still left today and we can step in to the site, too.
Walking about 2 minutes from Kubizuka, there is a temple called Anshoji. It is said that Unzan Osho, a buddhist priest of this temple built Kubizuka to console the souls of the dead warriors. There is a road which connects directly to the temple from Kubizuka, so I recommend you visit these two places together! We can have Goshuin at the temple, too.
【Ugetsudo】
A Japanese sweets store located by Route 57 in Nagakute. There is a eating space in the store too, and they're selling shaved ice in the summer season! It's a great place to have a rest for a moment♪
【Archi・pel・Ago】
We had a lunch at the café which is managed by garden designer. As there is a sign of "Garden and Cafe", the place was full of nature! and we enjoyed our lunch surrounded by it. There were many tables outside too, so I thought it will be nice eating there in the beautiful day!
The lunch was bringing out the taste of the ingredients, and the plate was plenty of vegetables and delicious❤
【Iroganeyama Park】
There is a tea room in Iroganeyama Park, where we had green tea and sweets.
It's very delicious. In addition, it's very reasonable for 250 yen per meal.
The tea room is very calm and full of Japanese traditional atmosphere.
Iroganeyama Park is very large and has many monuments. You can see the whole park from the observatory. It's fun just to take a walk, and it's perfect for a playground for small children.
There is a large pond just outside Iroganeyama Park.
It was a clear day, so the scenery was beautiful.
【Nagakute Green Center】
Nagakute Green Center is a farm stand of Japan Agricultural Cooperatives, and it locates in the south of the city hall. It sells foods and garden supplies. Also, there is a bakery called "nicori factory". I bought "Basil Sausage bread" for my breakfast! It was delicious:)
【Asaiya Confectionary Store】
This is a Japanese sweets store, and it is about 5 minutes walk to the south from the intersection called "Yakuba-mae". There are many kinds of Japanese sweets, and some of them are offered at the tea house in Iroganeyama park! Amazing, isn't it?
Actually, I bought some new type of ice candy called "Kuzu(Kudzu)* Ice". There are several kinds of flavors, and I chose "Hatcho miso*". You know what, you should definitely try this flavor!! It was so tasty!!! I like it:)
*"Kuzu(Kudzu)" is a plant, and it becomes "Kuzu mochi" with adding some sugar and water.
*"Hatcho miso" is a red miso, and it is one of the well known products in AIchi.
【Linimo Terrace】
This beautiful wooden building opened recently. It is located right in front of the Linimo station "Nagakute Kosenjou" and Aeon mall Nagakute. Linimo Terrace was build for people to interact. Therefore, many kinds of events are held in each month.
There is a coffee stand called "tori8 coffee". This shop offers you some coffee and sweets so you can use this Linimo Terrace as a cafe.
Also, there are black boards on outside of the building, and people can enjoy drawing by using water so it is safe for kids. Of course, brushes are prepared so all you have to do is just come and enjoy drawing!
【Nagakute Kosenjou station】
Well, we finally arrived at the Nagakute Kosenjou station! Actually, we walked about 20,000 steps on that day. It was a quite long walk, wasn't it?
Anyways, we have addressed our luck of exercise so why don't we move on to the next place? Another team will introduce the different area of Nagakute next week so DON'T MISS IT!!
